Habitat for Humanity International builds homes for families in need worldwide

Where We Build

Habitat desires to build throughout Randolph County. Habitat for Humanity exists on the expectation that God will provide our needs including sites to build upon. Most sites are donated but sometimes purchasing land is necessary. Potential land is visited and evaluated by the Site Selection Committee. If the land is suitable for construction and utilities then the committee recommends that the Board of Directors accept the site. Land has been donated for homes in Asheboro, Seagrove, Uwharrie, and Randleman.

How land is selected
  • Randolph County land is offered to Habitat
  • Site Selection Committee visits the site
  • An evaluation is presented to the Board of Directors
  • If approved the process of transfering title begins

Matching a family to a site

Families selected to receive a Habitat for Humanity home must take whatever land is available at the time. If a family does not like a site they are allowed to pass their selection to another family. The family is then offered the next available site. A family can only pass once before being disqualified and would then have to reapply.
